As Bigg Boss 19 gears up for its much-anticipated premiere next month, rumors around this year’s contestant lineup are swirling — and one name that’s quickly gaining traction is singer-actor Sreerama Chandra.
A source close to the show has revealed that talks are underway with Sreerama, who won Indian Idol 5 and left a lasting impression on viewers during his stint on Bigg Boss Telugu 5, where he made it to the finals. His calm, observant demeanor and sharp game sense reportedly caught the eye of Bigg Boss Hindi producers, who are looking to bring fresh faces with pan-India appeal into the house this season.
“He’s relatable yet competitive, and audiences connect with him easily,” said an insider familiar with casting discussions.
Makers Eye Cross-Industry Casting
Sreerama’s possible entry would reflect the producers’ clear strategy this year: casting participants who aren’t just TV personalities but represent different entertainment industries, including music, digital media, and regional cinema.
Other names reportedly being considered for this season include Ram Kapoor, Munmun Dutta, Mr. Faisu, Apoorva Mukhija, Krishna Shroff, Raj Kundra, and Dheeraj Dhoopar. While none of these have been officially confirmed, the leaks suggest that Bigg Boss 19 may have one of its most diverse and unexpected casts yet.
In total, about 15 contestants are expected to enter initially, with an additional 3–5 wildcard entries planned later to shake things up mid-season.
