Bigg Boss 19: Celebrities Who Said No to Salman Khan’s Show

As anticipation builds for Bigg Boss 19, the buzz around the show’s contestant list has reached a fever pitch. Interestingly, a number of familiar faces from The Traitors were reportedly approached for Salman Khan’s upcoming season… and they all turned it down.

With Bigg Boss 19 expected to launch in August 2025, producers have been in a casting frenzy, aiming to assemble a high-drama, high-visibility group of housemates. But not everyone said yes.

Here are four stars from The Traitors who were offered Bigg Boss and why they passed on the opportunity.

1. Ashula Kapoor

Anshula Kapoor, sister of Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor, has been on the rise recently with her confident screen presence and growing popularity. However, she reportedly opted out of Bigg Boss 19, citing that she is “mentally unprepared” for a show that thrives on surveillance, confrontation, and constant attention.

2. Raj Kundra

Businessman Raj Kundra, who recently made headlines with his stint on The Traitors, was also rumored to be in the Bigg Boss pipeline. But he has since distanced himself from the buzz. Reports suggest Kundra declined the offer due to scheduling conflicts and other commitments. As of now, he is “not doing the show,” sources confirmed.

3. Purav Jha

Popular content creator Purav Jha, best known for his viral videos and recent reality TV debut, turned down Bigg Boss 19, too. While fans were excited about seeing him on the show, Purav reportedly said he’s not ready to take on the emotional intensity of the format, at least not yet.

4. Jannat Zubair

Television star and digital influencer Jannat Zubair also said no. Known for her strong presence and loyal fanbase, Jannat was reportedly approached for the show but declined, feeling the timing wasn’t quite right for her to jump into such a high-pressure environment.

Who’s Still in the Game?

While these four opted out, others like Mamta Kulkarni, Krishna Shroff, Apoorva Mukhija, and Munmun Dutta are still in the mix, with rumours swirling and some names already gaining traction across fan communities.

With the show’s premiere just weeks away, the final lineup is still under wraps but expect more surprises, comebacks, and viral moments in what could be one of Bigg Boss’s most unpredictable seasons yet.
