The countdown to Bigg Boss 19 has officially begun — and the casting buzz just got stronger.
According to fresh reports, actor Ashish Vidyarthi and television star Lataa Saberwal are among the latest celebrities to be approached for the upcoming season of Salman Khan’s massively popular reality show. While the makers haven’t confirmed anything yet, both names are reportedly in serious contention.
Ashish Vidyarthi, who recently appeared in The Traitors, is no stranger to high-stakes reality TV. Known for his intense screen presence and no-nonsense attitude, he could be a firecracker inside the Bigg Boss house.
On the other hand, Lataa Saberwal — best known for her roles in Vivah and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai — has recently been in the news after confirming her separation from husband Sanjeev Seth. With a strong fan following and a composed persona, her entry could bring a dose of emotional maturity to the house.
When Is Bigg Boss 19 Premiering?
The show is all set to drop on August 29 or 30, kicking off a five-month digital-first season. Episodes will premiere first on JioCinema, before airing on Colors TV, following the platform’s hybrid rollout model from last year.
New Hosts Join Salman Khan This Season
While Salman Khan will launch the season as usual, his hosting stint is expected to last for the first three months. Post that, a rotation of celebrity hosts — Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor — will reportedly step in to keep the energy high and the format fresh.
Clarification: Ram Kapoor Has Opted Out
While Ram Kapoor’s name continues to float around speculative lists, the actor himself has categorically denied participating in the show. In a recent statement, he said, “Even if they offer me ₹20 crore, I won’t do it.” So if his name pops up again, you can safely mark it as fan fiction.
More Contestants Expected Soon
As with every year, the final cast is still under wraps, but if Vidyarthi and Saberwal join the house, it will add to a growing list of buzzworthy contestants — including Mamta Kulkarni, Krishna Shroff, Apoorva Mukhija, and Flying Beast.
With just weeks to go before the official promo drop, all eyes are now on who makes it through to the final list.
